St. Paul, Minnesota native, Jeanine began playing piano at the age of
eight, with her professional career beginning at the age of 18, during
the peak of the Minneapolis music scene. Jeanine has performed and/or
recorded with artists such as Prince, BrownMark (formerly of Prince and
the Revolution), Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, The Sounds of Blackness, Ann
Nesby, Sinbad, Karen White, The KAJ Orchestra (TKO), Christopher Williams,
Luther Vandross, Janet Jackson, Alex Bugnon, Ken Navarro, Ohio Players,
and BB King. Jeanine has appeared in music videos for the Sound of Blackness
and Brownmark, which have aired on BET and VH1, with television performances
on the Arsenio Hall Show, Soul Train and the Byron Allen Show. Jeanine
received a Grammy Award and a certified gold record for her work on The
Sounds of Blackness first release "The Evolution of Gospel". She has also
performed at the famous Guthrie Theater of Minneapolis in its presentation
of the Broadway musical Gospel at Colunus with actors Morgan Freeman and
Carl Lumbley. She has worked in music ministry since the age of 18, serving
as director of the Spirit of Christ Youth Choir of historic Pilgrim Baptist
Church, St. Paul, MN, whose former members included recording artists
such as Mint Condition and the R&B vocal group Next and the gospel group
Excelsior. Jeanine moved to Orlando with her husband in 1996 where she
continued in the music ministry at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church
in Eatonville. She has performed with several local artists at various
venues at The Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort. Jeanine served as music director
for The People's Theatre in the musical productions of the stage-plays
"The Wiz" and "Once
On This Island."
